This is how Dada found out that Mama is pregnant. These are from December 16th. Dada was even more surprised than I was!!

Grayson had his 9 month check-up today. He weighs 20 pounds & 4 ounces, and is 28.5 inches long. All is well!!

Grayson is pushing himself up on his arms more, but needs help getting on his knees. He really tries though!!

Grayson slept 10 hours last night without making a peep!!! 7:45pm-5:30am. Hoping for a repeat tonight!!

Grayson continues to refuse to roll over but is improving at sitting...

Grayson has been doing very well with the bottle the last few days. After spending a small fortune on different bottles/nipples, we are back to the bottle he originally took, and he has been taking it 2-3 times a day. He occasionally puts up a fight but after a break he usually accepts it without a problem. I have given him two bottles today and he took both without hesitation so I am keeping my fingers crossed...

Grayson had a pretty rough day from about 2pm-7pm yesterday...I think his legs hurt after getting a shot in each thigh. He screamed every time I moved him, and even cried when I tried to nurse him. He was pretty wiped out after all that crying!! Look how pitiful he looked...





But by the time it was time for bed (the time I would like to go to bed) he was feeling better, and after a good nights sleep waking up what seemed like every hour, he appears to be back to his old self.

baby boy keeps growing

Big boy had his 2 month appointment today.

He now weighs 12 lbs, 7 oz and is 23.5 inches long. So in 4 weeks he gained 2 1/4 pounds and 2 inches. He remains at the 75th percentile for height, weight, and his head circumference. He had a few combo vaccinations, but otherwise had an uneventful appointment. She said he is healthy and thriving. Although since then he has been super fussy and pissed off at the world. Hopefully he will fell better SOON...

This kid is going to grow up thinking all mommies have cameras attached to them...I can't stop taking pictures of this dude.

Oh, and he slept from 12:30-5am today....a 4 1/2 hour stretch, which was a first!! We'll see how he sleeps tonight.

i still love the boob

My Mommy was so stressed out today because I stopped wanting a bottle. She even cried a few times, saying she doesn't want to go back to work...and she won't stop kissing me!! Geez, chicks are so emotional. A few weeks ago she was crying because I ONLY wanted the bottle and didn't want to nurse and now this. Man, Mommy has such mood swings!! I was only trying to make her happy by only wanting the boob...the woman needs to make up her mind. But after talking on the phone to Grammy and Grammy's cousin Tish, Mommy took a walk to Target and bought some new nipples (she just wanted an excuse to go to Target...trust me). I realized that some plastic nipples aren't as bad as I thought. Daddy gave me a bottle and said how proud he was of me when I sucked a little. I didn't want much but the folks were happy with that, and said I can try again tomorrow. They say now I won't starve when Mommy goes back to work, whatever that means.

3 weeks old

Grayson is 3 weeks old today. I can't believe it...the time has gone by so fast!! He is still eating like a champ. In fact, he gets very irritated when he ISN'T eating. I like to think it is a growth spurt, and that he won't be this fussy forever. Although the last few days have been better...I think it is just typical newborn stuff...he likes to eat and be held 24/7. At least he wants to eat...it could be SO MUCH worse if he wasn't interested in eating. His sleeping is all over the place, although he really only wakes up once during the night (not counting the midnight and 5am feedings). Hopefully it will become consistent once I return to work. He smiles in his sleep sometimes, but hasn't had a real social smile yet...I'm looking forward to that!
