We walked to Grayson's doctor, which is about 2 miles downtown. He is doing very well, weighing in at 17 lbs 13 oz, and 27 inches long. That is 50% for weight and 75% for height. He is pretty much doing everything he is expected to do at this age, except rolling over and eating baby food. She didn't seem too concerned about either one...I'm sure with time he'll get there.
After the appointment we met a few a my friends for brunch. It was wonderful weather...not the 100 degree heat we had last week!
Mommy, where are my girlfriends?!?
If I wasn't so impressed with all the traffic I would pay more attention to Aunty Jen Jen.
I love my girlfriends, Jen & Lori.
I was so excited to see my ladies that I slept through the whole meal. I was a bad date.
I made it all the way back home without having a breakdown!! I'm growing up so fast!!

the 6 MONTHS photo
I tried to get a picture of Grayson next to the 6 MONTHS sign, but he couldn't resist eating it. Yes, he puts everything in his mouth. Everything except his baby food. Very annoying. Anyway, here is a funny sequence of photos of my nearly failed attempt to get his 6 MONTHS photo.
Hmm, what's this?
If I could just reeeeach it...
I'm gonna eat it.
Mmmm nummm nummm.
(you can't tell, but I had to put the sign in front of a pillow so he couldn't see it)
(This kid is too cute)
Happy 6 Months little man, it has been fun!!

six months old
Compare to 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months.
Grayson has had a busy month!! We celebrated his Daddy's birthday. He had a visit from Grammy and Granddad...during the visit we went to the Upper East Side for brunch and a walk by the East River.
We took Grayson to a pool for the first time, but because of the strict rules, we weren't allowed to bring in any cameras. He didn't react either way to being in the pool, so maybe next time he will splash around a little. Here is a picture of him after the pool....he was wiped and doesn't even look like himself!
We started giving Grayson solid foods a few weeks ago. First we started with cereal, then moved on to some fruits and veges to see if he would be interested. He sure likes his new highchair though!!
Grayson has been rolling over (accidentally) from his front to his back, and can almost roll to his front, but doesn't try very hard. I think once he actually wants to do it, he won't have a problem.
He is playing with his feet more.
He is supporting himself on his legs better.
Grayson had a few more visitors this month:
We have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, so I will update you about his new stats. I'm guessing 26.5 inches and 17.5 lbs. :)
Here are some random photos from the month:

my new highchair
Mom bought me a new highchair that attaches to the table. She thought maybe sitting up like a big boy would help me actually eat my food instead of spitting it out.
So this is it, huh Mommy?
Hey, do you have me buckled in here? Don't you trust me not to jump out??
I am practicing putting food in my mouth. Maybe in a few months I will get some Cheerios to eat. I hear they are delicious.
Hi.
Oh geez, this stuff is still disgusting.
I think I'm traumatized.
Seriously Mom, get that stuff away from me.
Are we done yet?!?!
